Free Copy Trade for Tradovate
Copy trades between your Tradovate accounts for free. Trade on one prop firm account and mirror every entry, stop, target and exit to your other accounts, even at different prop firms. No paid trade copier, no extra platform. Just a Chrome extension that runs inside Tradovate.
Works with the web trader in desktop Chrome. Start in Dry Run, go Live when you're ready.
Why pay monthly for a Tradovate trade copier?
Most trade copiers for Tradovate charge a monthly subscription and make you run a separate app. If you trade several prop firm evaluations, that's one more bill every month. Copy Trade for Tradovate is a free Tradovate copy trader that works right inside the Tradovate web trader you already use.
Free, no subscription
No trial, no monthly fee, no paid tier. Install it from the Chrome Web Store and start copying.
No separate platform
Keep using the same charts, DOM, hotkeys and ATM bracket templates. The extension copies what you already do.
Copy across prop firms
Lead on one prop firm's login and follow on another, such as Lucid Trading to MyFundedFutures. Copy one account into several, or several into one.
Two ways to copy trade
1. Copy trades between your own prop firm accounts
Trading several prop firms? Stop entering the same trade in every account.
- Trade on your Lucid Trading account
- Automatically copy those trades to your MyFundedFutures account, or to several accounts at once
- Set the contract, size and max for each account you copy into
- Keep entries, stops, targets and exits in sync
Works across separate logins, even when your accounts belong to different prop firms.
2. Copy trades between traders
Want another trader to follow your trades on their own account?
- Generate your private leader code
- Share the code with another trader
- They connect from their own account
- Your trades are broadcast and copied when their follower is in Live mode
You pick which accounts you broadcast. Your real account numbers stay private.

Trader to trader: the leader shares a private code, the other trader enters it and follows in Dry Run or Live.
How to copy trades between Tradovate accounts
Set up free Tradovate copy trading in a few minutes, from one account to one other, or to many. Each login runs in its own Chrome tab: one tab leads, the others follow.
Install the free extension
Add Copy Trade for Tradovate to desktop Chrome and open the web trader at trader.tradovate.com.
Start broadcasting from your lead account
In the tab you trade from, choose Lead, pick the accounts to broadcast and copy your private leader code.
Add one or more follower accounts
Open each of your other prop firm logins in its own tab, choose Follow and enter the leader code. One leader account can feed many follower accounts: copy into one, or several with Add account.
Set size and max for each account
Every account you copy into has its own contract, size multiplier and max contracts per entry, so each one stays inside its prop firm's limits.
Dry Run, then go Live
Preview the orders in Dry Run. When sizing and contracts look right, switch to Live and trade as usual.

Lead: trade as you normally do
No new platform and no change to your strategy. The extension captures:
Entries
Market, limit and stop entries.
Brackets
Stop-loss and take-profit brackets, and every stop or target you move.
Exits
Order cancellations, position exits and flatten commands.
Follow: copy trades automatically
Private connection
Connect to a leader by entering their code.
Copy rules
Copy each leader account into one or several of your accounts, each with its own contract, size and max. One account can also take several leader accounts, and each closes only its own contracts.
Contract selection
Trade the same market or a supported alternative, such as MNQ to NQ.
Flexible sizing
Multiply the leader's contracts and cap the maximum contracts per entry.
Dry Run and Live
Preview orders without sending them, then copy live through your own session.
Emergency Kill
Cancel working orders and flatten every account you copy into with one click.
Survives refreshes
A quick refresh of your Tradovate tab keeps Live copying on, and anything the leader did meanwhile, exits included, is caught up.
Trades never left behind
If Chrome restarts or puts a tab to sleep mid-trade, copying falls back to Dry Run but the open trade's exits are still copied. Resume Live or Flatten now with one click.

Tradovate copy trading FAQ
Is there a free copy trader for Tradovate?
Yes. Copy Trade for Tradovate is a free Chrome extension that copies trades between Tradovate web trader accounts. There's no subscription, no trial and no separate copier platform.
Can I copy trades between different prop firms?
Yes. Open each prop firm's login in its own Chrome tab. One tab leads and the others follow. For example, lead on Lucid Trading and follow on Take Profit Trader.
Can I copy between two accounts in the same Tradovate login?
Not yet. Each login is either a leader or a follower, so the leader and follower accounts need to be in different logins.
Does it work on live (real-money) accounts?
Live copying currently works on Tradovate demo sessions, which include simulation and most prop firm evaluation accounts. Dry Run works everywhere.
Are trades from TradingView or the Tradovate mobile app copied?
Not yet. Trades are copied when the leader places them in the web trader tab running the extension. Support for outside orders is planned.
Can I trade a different contract than the leader, like NQ instead of MNQ?
Yes. Pick the contract on each account you copy into. Stops and targets are copied when both contracts are in the same market (for example MNQ and NQ). For a different market, only market orders without a stop or target are copied.
Can I copy one account into several of my accounts?
Yes. Each leader account can copy into one or more of your accounts in the follower tab, each with its own contract, size and max per entry. One of your accounts can also follow several leader accounts, and each then closes only its own contracts.
What happens if Chrome restarts or reloads my tab during a trade?
A quick refresh keeps Live copying on and catches up on anything the leader did meanwhile. After a browser restart, a longer reload or a tab Chrome put to sleep, copying falls back to Dry Run, but the open trade's exits are still copied. New entries wait until you click Resume Live, or you can click Flatten now.
What happens if I connect while the leader is already in a trade?
That trade is skipped. Copying starts with the leader's next trade, once they are flat.
Do I need to keep the side panel open?
No. Only the trading tabs need to stay open, and they can run in the background. Add trader.tradovate.com to "Always keep these sites active" in Chrome's performance settings so Chrome never puts them to sleep.
What if my internet drops?
Leaders send queued signals when they reconnect. Followers catch up on what they missed, but never chase an entry that arrives more than 30 seconds late.
Will followers see my account numbers?
No. Followers only see the account names you choose to share. Your login and session token are never sent to the copy-trading relay.
Is copy trading allowed by my prop firm?
Check your firm's rules. Many allow copying between your own accounts but restrict copying another person's trades. Our Tradovate prop firm finder shows each firm's copy trading rule.
