Short answer: Allowed only for accounts you own and control, and only with a copier from Take Profit Trader's approved list. Trades must be placed manually, and counter positions are banned.
Take Profit Trader's copy trading policy
Take Profit Trader permits trade copiers solely for managing accounts owned and controlled by you, and only from its approved list:
- Tradesyncer
- TradeCopia
- Affordable Indicators
- Replikanto (Compliance Edition only)
- Flowbot (Compliance Edition only)
- Platform-native copier tools, such as Tradovate's, NinjaTrader's, MotiveWave's and Quantower's
Counter positions (one account long while another is short) are prohibited. The policy also says all trades must be manually executed by the trader, so bots and algorithms aren't allowed. Take Profit Trader updated this policy on October 9, 2026.

How to copy trades with Take Profit Trader accounts
Our free extension isn't on Take Profit Trader's approved list. Copy Trade for Tradovate is a third-party copier, not a Tradovate built-in tool. Under Take Profit Trader's current policy, don't use it on Take Profit Trader accounts. These options stay within the rules:
- Between your Take Profit Trader accounts: use Tradovate's built-in Group Trade, a platform-native tool on the approved list. It works between accounts at the same provider, but doesn't support ATM brackets (details).
- Between Take Profit Trader and other prop firms: use a copier from the approved list above, such as Tradesyncer, TradeCopia or Affordable Indicators. Compare them on our trade copier alternatives page.
- Between your other prop firms: firms such as Lucid and MyFundedFutures allow third-party copiers, so the free extension can copy between those accounts.
Approved lists change. If Take Profit Trader adds more copiers, we'll update this page.
Tips to stay within Take Profit Trader's rules
- Stay flat around major news on PRO accounts, even if the leader account at another firm trades it.
- PRO accounts switch to an intraday trailing drawdown, so size copied trades more conservatively than in the Test.
- Never let two Take Profit Trader accounts, or a TPT account and another firm's account, hold opposite positions.
