Lucid Trading Copy Trading Rules

Can you copy trades on Lucid Trading, and between Lucid and your other prop firms? Here's what Lucid's own help center says, and how to copy without breaking the rules.

Updated October 16, 2026 · 4 min read

Short answer: Trade copiers are explicitly permitted, as long as all automated activity follows Lucid's rules.

Lucid's copy trading policy

Lucid's help center says automated trading systems and trade copiers are permitted, provided all automated activity complies with Lucid's rules. It doesn't add separate wording about copying between your own accounts, and like every firm, hedging across accounts isn't allowed.

That makes Lucid a natural lead account: trade on Lucid and copy to your accounts at other firms that allow it.

How to copy Lucid trades to your other prop firms

Tradovate's built-in group trading only covers accounts inside one Tradovate login, and every prop firm gives you a separate login. To copy between Lucid and another firm, you need a copier that works across logins, such as the free Copy Trade for Tradovate Chrome extension:

  1. Open your Lucid Tradovate login in one Chrome tab and your other firm's login in another.
  2. Set the tab you trade from to Lead and copy its private leader code.
  3. Set the other tab to Follow, paste the code and choose the account that receives the trades.
  4. Set the size and max contracts for that account, then test in Dry Run before switching to Live.

Tips to stay within Lucid's rules

  • LucidDaily treats red-folder news trades as a hard breach. If a LucidDaily account follows, don't let the leader trade into news.
  • Size each follower for its own drawdown: Lucid's 50K plans have a $2,000 max loss limit.
  • Use Dry Run first to check the follower picks the right account and contract.
